Hyundai, JAC, Nissan Models Unveiled at Iran Auto Show

Reporting "Asre Khodro", Major car groups attending are Kerman Motor Company, Karmania, Negin Khodro (importer of Renault), Modiran Vehicle Manufacturing (MVM), Irtoya (official Toyota representative), Jahan Novin Aria (official Nissan representative) Arian Motor (Mitsubishi retailer) Ramak Khodro (SsangYong representative).
Kerman Motor Company
One of the major highlights of the seventh edition of the exhibition was the unveiling of two Hyundai models by Kerman Motor Company: the Hyundai i10 and i20, according to Financial Tribune.
Kerman Motor Company announced that it has been established as the official representative of the South Korea’s Hyundai company in Iran with permits to assemble its selected models.
According to the local automotive website carnet.ir, Hyundai representatives have said that Kerman Motor Company will soon start assembling the i10 and i20.
The final price of the two models will be announced in the middle of next month.
Kerman Motor also said it would soon bring the new small JAC S3 crossover. JAC S3 sits below its sibling, the S5, which is selling in the Iranian market for over year.
The model is expected to compete with SAIPA’s Changan CS35, which began sales in the recent past.
At the event, local assembler Karmania announced special sales plans for two Chinese models: the BYD S6 SUV and BYD all-electric e6 compact crossover models. The company is offering free body insurance to customers registering to buy either of the two models.
The list price for the S6 is 964 million rials ($27,540), the electric variant E6 is 1.38 billion rials ($33,000), using IranJib.ir as a guide price.
Karmania is a subsidiary of Kerman Motor Company.
Nissan
Japan’s Nissan was also showing its latest vehicle in the local market, the Juke. The small crossover vehicle, which entered the country in recent months through local dealership Jahan Novin Aria costs around 1.3 billion rials ($31,700), according to Bama.ir.
