Renault November sale to Iran skyrocketed

Reporting "Asre Khodro", Sales of Renault in November also rose by 27 percent compared to October, according to the Tasnim news agency.

The company’s overall sales to Iran for 2014 stood at 36,300 cars which showed a decrease of about 9 percent year-on-year.

Renault saw record high sales to Iran in 2011 and 2012 when it respectively sold 94,000 and 108,000 cars to the country.

The French major had to suspend its Iran business in 2013 after stricter sanctions were imposed on Iran’s nuclear program that specifically included tough restrictions on banking transactions with the country.
