Reporting "Asre Khodro", France’s PSA Group agreed to buy Opel from General Motors in March in a deal worth 2.2 billion euros ($2.3 billion), creating a new European car giant to challenge market leader Volkswagen.
The company has planned to bring six relatively new models, namely, Karl, Insignia Grand Sport, Mokka, Crossland X and Cascada, according to local automotive media outlets.
In response to a question from Financial Tribune, the public relations office of Sapra Motor said there is no pricing or presale schedule yet, but the company will announce them soon.
The firm also did not say what its payment schemes would look like.
The US-owned German brand was previously imported only by Tavan Khodro Jey, which recently re-launched itself as UAZ Iran, distributor of Russia’s UAZ Patriot and pickup variants.
