“Growth rate in Fuel consumption in Iran is three times more than the world’s average”

According to Asre-Khodro news agency quoting Jalil Salary, with regard to such a consumption growth in comparison with other countries, explained; in today world the petroleum products consumption growth rate is %۱.۹.
He reminded the consumption rate which was ۱۲% by the time the rationing and fuel supplying using fuel intelligent card program was not yet accomplished, and added; as a result of the subsidize orientation program this amount has reduced and came to point of ۴%.
Deputy of National Iranian Oil Product Distribution Company (NIOPDC), specified that, recently we have been witnessed the ۶% growth in fuel consumption.
This official emphasize that, despite the consumption rate in Iran which is three time more than other places average, National Iranian Oil Product Distribution Company(NIOPDC)’s objective to increasing the capacity of fuel production will be putting into operation according to the pre- arranged schedule.
Salary pronounced production increased for Imam Khomeyni refinery in Shazand (Arak Province) and mentioned that with the competition of this project the fuel production will increase more than ۸ million liters; therefore, the overall production of the mentioned refinery reaches to ۱۶ million liter per day.
