Latest news on reforming car import tariff

Reporting "Asre Khodro", following up on the issues discussed at the meeting of October 25, 2917 at the Office of the First Vice-President of the President, in order to exchange views and make a decision on reforming the tariff system, a meeting was held with the participation of representatives of relevant organizations at the Office of the Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade And it was decided some new regulations.

In the event of the final image of this new tariff system, imports of over 2,500 cc vehicles with higher tariffs to support domestic production will be possible, as well as a significant increase in import tariffs for vehicles with a capacity of more than 1,000 cc.
- Automobiles with engine volume from 1000 to 1500 cc - Increase of tariffs from 40 to 55%
- Automobiles with engine volume from 1500 to 2000 cc - increase from tariffs 40 to 95%
- Automobiles with engine volume from 2000 to 2500 cc - Increase of tariffs from 55 to 130%
- Automobiles with a motor capacity of 2500 to 3000 cc - an increase from the tariff of 55 to 150%
- Automobiles with engine volume higher than 3000 cc - increase from tariffs 55 to 150%
