Asr-e Khodro reported that Ghazanfari who was previously acting as the Minister of Commerce while being the caretaker of the Ministry of Industries and Mines, was given confidence vote form the MPs yesterday and now has to act very fast to perform the real merger of Iran’s Industry and Commerce.
He is a PhD graduate of Sydney’s NSW University in the field Industrial Engineering, Systems’ Programming, an MS graduate of Amir Kabir University in the field of Industrial Engineering, Systems’ Analysis and a BS graduate of the University of Science and Industry in the field of Industrial Engineering, Industrial Production.
Among the most significant positions Ghazanfari has held, were his being the caretaker of the Ministry of Industries and Mines since May ۲۰۱۱, the Minister of Commerce since ۱۳۸۸ (۲۰۰۹), Deputy of the Minister of Commerce from ۱۳۸۴ (۲۰۰۵) until ۱۳۸۸ (۲۰۰۹), CEO of Iran’s House of Commerce Development from ۱۳۸۴ (۲۰۰۵) until ۱۳۸۸ (۲۰۰۹), Industrial Engineering Faculty Dean of the University of Science and Industry ۱۳۸۱ (۲۰۰۲) till ۱۳۸۳ (۲۰۰۴), and syllabus design and planning dept. head of the University of Science and Industry from ۱۳۷۹ (۲۰۰۰) through ۱۳۸۰ (۲۰۰۱).
In the Confidence Vote session of the Parliament to Ghazanfari, as there was no opposing MP to speak, his proponents refrained from talking as well.
It is noteworthy that in the afore-cited session Ghazanfari described the pivotal objective of the newly formed Ministry as production and added that his decisions will be based chiefly on production. He also likened commerce to a locomotive that would move the economy forth on an export-based axis.
